Adelaide Desalination Plant
($1.82 billion)
The Adelaide Desalination Plant (ADP) guarantees Adelaide’s water security to 2050. It provides Adelaide’s water demand with a climate-independent source of drinking water and has the ability to produce up to 100 billion litres of water per year, half of Adelaide’s current drinking water needs.
ADP has achieved 2013 PMI Project of the year award.
Capital Program Delivery
I managed the entire lifecycle of a $130 Million Program, successfully delivering over 25 infrastructure projects through ECI, D&C, and Construct Only contracts with Tier 1 and 2 partners. Additionally, I provided asset management services for key wastewater treatment plants across the state.
BHP Mine Enabling Program
The Mine Enabling Program was a strategic growth mining initiative to support the strategic growth at BHP Olympic Dam. The program consisted of multi-disciplinary infrastructure work. I managed the execution and commissioning phases of the program and provided key inputs in the FEED by introducing the ECI model to bridge the gap between study and execution phases to maximize the program performance.
Adelaide Airport PMO Consultant
I strategize setting up a high-performing PMO for a capital delivery team with an annual average value of $85 million. The strategy included a clear roadmap aligned with corporate short-term and long-term objectives, prioritizing capital delivery performance and providing a sustainable competitive advantage for the organization.
Mine End Pump Station
Operations within the Olympic Dam mine rely on a reliable dewatering infrastructure to remove water from underground workings and redirect it to end users. Therefore, the Underground Pump Station project became a critical element of this cycle by providing a conduit from the underground mine workings to surface storage. As the project lead, I managed the execution, commissioning, and close-out phases of the project
Adelaide Southern Wastewater Infrastructure Scheme ($65 Million)
This unique program was instructed by the CEO of SA Water to undertake a robust strategic planning in order to determine the most viable solution in order to deliver a new sewerage scheme for more than 4,000 residential allotments in the southern area of Adelaide linked to the existing treatment plant.
My role as the Project Leader for this program required professional stakeholder management skills due to the number of interested/influential stakeholders (exceeding 35) and thorough Strategic & Business Management skills to evaluate all the requirements, opportunities, and constraints of the program.
Together with the project team, I defined the most innovative and cost effective solution for SA Water and the community of South Australia.

In this role, I also managed the study phase for implementation of a sophisticated Aritifical Intelligence platform.
Water Main Infrastructure Renewal Program
($22 Million)
Program Discipline: Mechanical, Civil
Contract: AS 2124
Water Main Relay Program (WMR) has been proposed by SA Water Asset Management in accordance with the annual process of selecting priority mains for relay.
I managed the program with stakheolders in excess of 25 from Asset Management, Operations, Safety, Engineering, Environment, and Business Management. In this program I also led Tier one design engineering works and three delivery partners which resulted in successfully delivering +95 projects over two years across Adelaide Metro and increased customer satisfaction.
Glenelg, Aldinga, Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant Long Term Asset Planning ($16 million)
As part of SA Water RBP20 (and beyond) work, I led the engineering and long term asset planning works for the Glenelg, Aldinga, and Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The objective of these projects was to determine how to manage each asset at its lowest life cycle cost. This engagement was to undertake a thorough engineering study such that risk can be identified and appropriately mitigated if/where required. This long term asset management work provided SA Water with a guide what systems to apply to the various assets to increase and/or improve its life, thus providing SA Water a guide on the financials the plant will require to be put aside for the next 25 years.
Strategic Commercial Management
($15 Million)
Power and Water Corporation is responsible for electricity transmission and providing water and sewerage services across the Northern Territory. I managed a strategic and functional study along with commercial evaluation and recommendation for the Civil & Mechanical Infrastructure works with consideration of programmed maintenance
schedule, capital delivery, asset & financial data, and legacy contracts and performance data.
Wastewater Pump Stations Structure Upgrade
($15 Million)
I established a 4 year program of work with developing robust prioristisation model to facilitate the delivery. A strong developed business case received approval from the Board of the organisation and was used as a guideline for future long term program planning and delivery.
Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade ($11 Million)
Program Discipline: Civil, Structure, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process
Contract: AS 4300
Anticipated population growth within the current and future catchment areas of the Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant suggest that existing infrastructure at the Aldinga Wastewater treatment plant will not be able to manage forecast inflows.
The key objective of this project was to ensure the capacity and performance of the Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant asset is adequate to accommodate the immediate and long term treatment requirements to treat the wastewater generated by the population served by the connected wastewater network.
I managed the contract and engineering work to study and design the upgrade of Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant with Tier 1 engineering and delivery partners through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract approach. The scope included:
• New inlet works (124L/s)
• Construct a Primary Sedimentation Tank
• Infrastructure to allow tankering of the primary sludge to Christies Beach for digestion
• Upgrade the network within the plant
Wastewater Network Renewal Program
($8 Million)
I managed the whole lifecycle of the program which entailed +70 projects. This upgrade secured a new service life of 25 years for more than 10km of wastewater mains across Adelaide.
MINING SERVICES DEVELOPMENT GROWTH ($15 MILLION)
To support the development and growth strategy of mining within BHP at Olympic Dam, I managed the contract and execution phase of two new underground projects. They required new Infrastructure including Water, Electricity, and Compressed Air services.
Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant Major Pump Station ($4 Million)
Project Discipline: Civil, Structure, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation
Contract: AS 4300
Instructed by the Executives of SA Water, the key objective of this project was to build new infrastructure to support the local business and community by providing new water supply scheme at an agreed contractural rates.
As the Project Manager, I managed the entire lifecycle from engineering to construction, commissioning, and close out ahead of time and within budget.
Happy Valley Treatment Plant Infrastructure Upgrade ($4 Million)
